Apostille Birth, Death and Marriage Certificates in Austria for use in Europe and abroad
We attest Birth, Marriage and Death Certificates issued in Austria with Apostille stamps issued by the Governments of the Federal Provinces including certificate issued in Vienna, Upper and Lower Austria, Salzburg and Tyrol.
Austrian birth, death and marriage certificates required for submission to the authorities of non-apostille countries (e.g. United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Qatar), require legalization by the respective Government of the Federal Province and further legalization by the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs. They can then be attested by the embassy of the recipient country in Vienna.
To legalize an Austrian Civil Status Certificates an original paper international certificate is required with handwritten signature. Digitally signed national certificates are not valid for Apostille authentication or legalization for use abroad. If the civil status certificate has been issued by a municipality, a registry office or registry office association, a pre-certification from the responsible district administration may be required.

Certified translations of Austrian death, marriage and birth certificates
When presenting Austrian birth certificates and other civil status records in countries which do not have German as an official language, then a certified translation may be required. The certified translation must meet the requirements of the destination country. In Austria, translations must be certified by a Court-certified translator and then authenticated for submission abroad with an Apostille Stamp from the Civil Court of First Instance (translations required for submission to embassies in Vienna, such as the United Arab Emirates or Qatar) will need further legalization by the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs.
Translations can also be done, once the original certificate has been authenticated in Austria, in the country of destination.
Isarey works with local notaries and sworn translators in a wide range of destination countries. We'll take care of the entire legalization and translation process, so that your certificates are correctly translated and ready to submit:
